BERLIN

Germany's capital Berlin dates back to the 13th century, and the city had a turbulent history during the last century. Reminders of the city's past include its Holocaust memorial and the Berlin Wall. Divided during the Cold War, the 18th-century Brandenburg Gate has become a symbol of reunification.

 

Berlin's system of U and S Bahn trains, trams and buses allows you  to easily travel throughout the city. The flat terrain makes walking around the city effortless. A bicycle tour is also another simple  way to explore the city, while a relaxing cruise on the River Spree is a must.
