Bondi to Coogee

This is a marvellous walk along a spectacular part of Sydney's coastline. It's a 6 kilometre journey that begins at the southern headland at Bondi, and ends on the southernmost part of Coogee.

Buses travel regularly from Bondi Junction Station to the beach. Walk south along Campbell Parade to Notts Avenue where the walk begins. The pathway winds south around Mackenzie Point to Tamarama. This part of the walk is the location for Sculpture By The Sea every year from October to November.

Continue walking to Bronte Beach and Waverly Cemetery, which overlooks the ocean. From there you walk around the unique Clovelly Beach and onto the secluded Gordon's Bay. The pathway leads to Coogee Beach. From here you can catch a bus back to the city.

Along the walk are beautiful beaches, and ocean rock pools to cool off in summer. During the whale migration season from September to November, you might catch a  sight of these magnificent mammals.
Along the walk are plenty of places for coffee or tea,  and lunch as well.

My tip, if you come by car, is to park at the southern or northern end of Waverly Cemetery which is approximately the half way point.
